The French TV makes a Special Report opening up the Chinese secret : a strict &  disciplined education system, to the awe of westerners !

A Chinese friend comments that, although their system looks tougher than Singapore’s, the Chinese parents don’t need to send their kids to expensive tuitions like “kiasu” (怕输) Singaporeans do — no time for tuitions !! because Chinese schools are whole day from 7 am to 10 pm daily.

Only the French Engineering Classe Préparatoire aux Grandes Ecoles (Prépas) for 19-year-old “Baccalaureate + 2 years” undergraduates is comparably alike — tough !

In the final part of video [23:00 mins]: a Shanghainese girl who followed through the French “Prépas” relatively easier than her French classmates — thank to the higher Chinese standard in Math & Science — proudly entered the French prestigious Ecole Polytechnique, after competing with the native elites in the highly competitive ‘Concours’ (科举, entrance exams) in a totally foreign language – French.
