Study Chinese (or for that matter, any language) , best is to learn through examples, not remember grammar rules which are man-made after having analyzed the language patterns from local people’s spoken colloquial habbit (约定俗成，习惯语气).
That’s how we learn the mother tongue from our parents since young in Hokkien, their ‘grammar’ fixed in our brain without being taught in classroom.
