Napoleon’s Prediction on “Sleepy Lion China”

Napoleon’s final 6 years 软禁 custody in St. HELENA Pacific Ocean island by the British, was looked after by some Chinese male servants (mostly cantonese) from the 600 chinese 苦力 sold to British as slave labors. One of the descendent of Napoleon’s Chinese servant is a French citizen, wrote a book about the Napoleon’s daily conversations with his ancestor a loyal chinese servant. Napoleon was impressed with China’s potential to wake up & shake the world one day – albeit ~150 years later in 1949.

Sir Raffles visited Napoleon on his permanent return voyage from Singapore to London.
